Life’s too short to only fish on the weekend!
The Counting Fish – Twin Baskets Set of 100 is a rich, open‑ended resource designed to support early numeracy, fine motor development, and imaginative play.

This inviting set includes 100 wooden fish in two natural colour tones, thoughtfully presented in two woven baskets. Perfect for counting, sorting, patterning, and comparing quantities, the fish offer endless opportunities for hands‑on mathematical exploration. Their simple, tactile design also makes them an ideal addition to small world and loose‑parts play.

Use the fish with a blue play cloth or felted mat to create an underwater scene, add miniature fishing rods, tongs, or sorter tools to extend fine motor skills, or incorporate them into storytelling and book‑based activities. They are a wonderful visual and interactive prop for stories such as “Ten Scared Fish”, “Ten Little Fish”, “You Be You”, and many other fish‑themed favourites.

Please note: As these resources are handcrafted, natural variations in colour and appearance may occur. Basket measures 19cm d. Fish measure 6 x 3cm. Ages 3yrs+.

Includes:

  • 100 wooden fish (two colour tones)
  • 2 woven baskets
